Governors - Membership and Link Roles - 2024/25
Mr SIMON MARSHALL
Chair of Governors
A qualified electrical engineer by trade I also have a degree in construction management and bring project management experience to my role as a governor along with over 30 years' experience in health & safety management. My daughter is attending Lilliput school and is currently in reception. This is my first role as part of the governor team and I am looking forward to the challenge ahead. Outside of the role I love spending time with my family exploring the outdoors. A published photographer, I'm also a very keen follower of Formula one & football.
Mr Iain Murray
Co Vice Chair of Governors / Co-Opted
My two children both attended Lilliput and I became a Parent Governor when prompted to volunteer by my daughter when she was a member of the School Council. I’ve stayed on as a Governor for the last few years and have been very happy to be able to give something back. I run a local Financial Planning business and bring 15 years of Financial Services and Management experience to the role and have taken on the responsibility of Chair of the Finance and Resources Committee. I am also the link Governor for SEN (Special Educational Needs) as I have a particular interest and experience in this area because of my son with a disability. Outside of work I dabble in a little bit of football and cycling with varying degrees of enthusiasm!
REV KATE EATON-WELLS
Foundation
I am a curate (junior vicar) in the Church of England and became a foundation governor at Lilliput Infant School after arriving at Holy Angels Church. I have a Masters degree in Theology and Ministry from Durham University and am looking forward to supporting the school with their collective worship and RE curriculum. In my free time I enjoy all sorts of crafts, gardening, walking my dog and exploring new places.
Mr ALAN CLARK
CO-OPTED
I am glad to be supporting Lilliput School and Coastal Learning Partnership as the new Health and Safety Governor. I have worked within the public sector insurance market for over 30 years and bring a wealth of experience with me relevant to the role. I have 2 grown up children and a very energetic cockapoo named Luna, which all occupy most of my spare time.
Mrs PiPPA BLACKMORE
CO-OPTED
I have been a Governor at Lilliput for over 10 years. I have 2 children, Ben and Annabelle, who attend local Secondary Schools. I qualified as a Primary School Teacher over 20 years ago and have taught at local primary schools. I currently run my own business, running after school fun maths clubs. As a family, we love everything Disney! We also enjoy going to the theatre and visiting museums.
Mrs Anna Windett
Parent Governor
I have three children; one at Lilliput, one at Baden Powell and a pre schooler. I have a Masters in Chemistry from Oxford University and after graduating worked in London for 10 years for a fund manager as a financial analyst. After moving back to Dorset when I had my first child I joined the trustee board at Dorset Mind and have been part of the team reviving the charity over the last 8 years which has been extremely rewarding.
Mr LLOYD ALLINGTON
Staff
I am the Deputy Head at Lilliput and I have worked in education for over a decade in a range of roles and settings. I have been a member of staff and governor here since I began in 2020, and I have loved the opportunity to further serve the school and its community in this role. In my spare time I enjoy gardening, reading, karaoke, spending time with friends and family, as well as caring for my menagerie of 4 dogs, 5 chickens, 12 ducks and Buddy the tortoise.
Mrs Christine Chambers
Headteacher
Headteacher of Lilliput School I am also a staff governor. Working closely with the governing body is a vital part of my role. The relationship between myself and the governors is critical to the success of the school. I attend all governors meetings and report to them on all aspects of life in school.
